Matthew M. CreeAttorney and Counselor at Law
A Little About Matt Cree
While passing the bar in both Indiana and Texas in the same year, I decided early on to stay true to my roots as a Hoosier and remain close to family in Johnson County, Indiana. For eight-and-a-half years, I practiced with one of the largest law firms in the county where I focused on bankruptcy, consumer rights, foreclosure defense, and general litigation. In 2015, I decided to make the leap and open the Law Office of Matthew M. Cree, where I continue to provide personal, caring service to those facing the most stressful times of their lives.
In my personal life, I enjoy the company of my family, which includes four dogs and four cats. The menagerie of animals most likely has something to do with my serving as the president of the board of directors for the Humane Society of Johnson County and my inability to say “no” to taking in homeless animals. I have a deep love for my community and am proud to be a 2010 graduate of Leadership Johnson County. Recently, I had the pleasure of assisting with the development of a non-profit destination marketing organization to promote and grow Johnson County tourism and business.

Hobbies and Interests
Advocating for animal welfare through the Humane Society of Johnson County.
Bodybuilding with the goal of competing in August 2018 (don’t judge from the photo above – I’ve been putting time in!).
Promoting Johnson County, Indiana as one of the best counties to live, work, and play.
Building Lego sets with my wife and son. It’s become an addiction!
I have a deep love for classic rock and 80’s hair bands. At any point in the day, you may hear anything from Boston to Def Leppard coming from my office.
I drive a Mini Cooper Countryman that looks like a stormtrooper helmet. No kidding. My son even supplied me with stormtrooper coasters to match.
I’m a huge Star Wars fan (if you can’t tell from the above). My goal is to complete my own set of stormtrooper armor and join the 501st. I see it as a great way to share my love of the franchise and help bring joy to others
